Keshubhai Patel (born twenty-four July 1928) is Associate in Nursing Republic of Indian politician UN agency was the Chief Minister of Gujarat state of India in 1995 and from 1998 to 2001. He has been member of Gujarat assembly sixfold. he’s a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from the Nineteen Eighties. He earlier left the BJP in 2012 and shaped the Gujarat Parivartan Party later got unified with Bharatiya Janata Party. He was nonappointive from Visavadar within the 2012 assembly election however later resigned in 2014 because of pathological state.

Early life

Keshubhai Savas Patel is born on twenty-four July 1928 in Visavadar city of gift Junagadh district, Gujarat. He joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in 1945 as a pracharak. He was jailed throughout the emergency.

Political career

He started his political career as an employee for the Gregorian calendar month Sangh in the Nineteen Sixties. He was an instauration member of it. In 1975, the Gregorian calendar month Sangh-Congress(O) coalition came to power in Gujarat.

After the emergency, he was nonappointive to Lok Sabha from Rajkot body in 1977. Later he resigned Associate in Nursing joined Babubhai Patel’s Janata Morcha government as an agriculture minister in 1978 to 1980. He won assembly elections from Kalavad, Gondal, and Visavadar between 1978 and 1995. In 1980, once Gregorian calendar month Sangh was dissolved and he became the senior organizer of freshly shaped Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He organized the election campaign against Congress (I) and LED BJP to win in 1995 assembly election.

He became the Chief Minister of Gujarat on fourteen March 1995, however, resigned seven months later as his colleague Shankersinh Vaghela revolted against him and Suresh Mehta succeeded him as an accord Chief Minister. BJP was split as Rashtriya Janata Party (RJP) was shaped by Vaghela UN agency became the Chief Minister, in October 1996, with the support of the Congress (I). Assembly was dissolved in 1998 as Congress (I) withdrew its support to RJP. He didn’t renew his BJP membership, resigned from the BJP on four August 2012 and launched the Gujarat Parivartan Party (GPP) to contest in Gujarat assembly election, 2012. He won from Visavadar body against BJP candidate Kanubhai Bhalala whereas GPP won simply 2 seats as well as his own.

He resigned from the post of president of GPP in Jan 2014 and later resigned as a member of Gujarat assembly because of his pathological state on Feb thirteen, 2014. Later GPP unified with BJP on twenty-four Feb 2014.

Personal life

He married Leela Patel and has 5 sons and a girl.  His son, Asian country Patel could be a member of BJP.[2][11] His spouse died in their point Gandhinagar when Associate in Nursing electrical hearth skint move into the exercise space on twenty-one Gregorian calendar month 2006.
